There is no other sport in which the honour of the participants and the "way" in which they win is so important. The fact that true champions in the sport don't attack during mechanical failures etc. is critical to my love of it. It is impossible to imagine a similar etiquette in Formula 1 for example. Hi Rica

So, if you see your "enemy" lying on the ground, you may continue, but there is a certain remorse. You don't take advantage of unfortunate circumstances. That's one of the reasons Contador is so disliked, at this point. He attacked when it was completely unnecessary.
