Question by Elsie F: At what age can I take my twins swimming in a indoor swimming pool?
They are five month old – well 23 weeks – at the moment and my son is 16 months old. I was wondering at what age can the twins go swimming so I can take the three of them.
Also if I took them swimming would I need another person to come with me?

You will need to visit your pool and check with the lifeguard team. I’m sure they have set guidelines and safety rules. Hope you can!

I was surprised at the ages of some of the swimmers of the Brighton Swimming Club. This man here is in his 60′s! He made me look weak. I can only hope I’m as brave as this guy when I’m his age.

Only the swimming pool remains today, but that too has been renovated into 3 seperate swimming pools. The big round building later changed to the Hard Rock Cafe and then stood empty for a long time. The building to the right became a Wimpy. Check the ROBOT text written on the road – this is a warning sign for the upcoming traffic light. But they called it a ROBOT. Haff!

Question by Cassandra: How do you get custard out of a swimming pool ?
On Brainiac a while back they filled up a swimming pool with ‘custard’ in order to prove that it was possible to walk on a non-Newtonian liquid – all you have to do is keep walking.
But how did they ever get the ‘custard’ (it wasn’t stuff you could eat) out of the pool afterwards ?
Or is it still there ?
Is there a pool somewhere in England that will be forever full of custard ?

On a very hot day, it’s always fun to take a dive in the hotel’s swimming pool. This photo reminds me a bit of Nirvana’s cover for the album ‘Nevermind’. Just a coincidence!

These past couple of days have been scorchingly hot! Thank goodness we have a swimming pool. What could have been painfully unbearable heat turned out to be playful fun. At my nephew’s birthday party guest had the option to be refreshed by the yummy water.

This was somewhat outside Houston. And a team triathlon, not a single athlete. A "Swim Bike & Run" event. With different people taking each part.

I only took beginning photos of the Bike & Run legs. But was there for the whole Swim part, which my friend won…

Another day….another state park!

Roper Lake State Park is located near Safford, Arizona.

It is a 32-acre lake that offers small boating, fishing, swimming, a natural hot spring tub, a campground, and cabins. The lake provides a beautiful contrast to majestic 10,000-ft Mt. Graham nearby in the beautiful southeastern Arizona desert.

This upcoming photo series of Roper Lake was imaged via canoe tour in my family’s trusty inflatable canoe, which we affectionately call the "USS Guppie".

Here we are in the Guppie approaching the swim area.

Roper Lake State Park was scheduled to close at the end of March this year, but the closure has been delayed till June 2010, courtesy of funds provided by the Arizona Game and Fish Dept.
