Early sporting moments

Luke is a 35 year old Londoner who has always had a passion for sports and physical activty. He started sport very young playing tennis to a high standard including a junior doubles tournament at Wimbledon

Cycling the 3500km Route of Tour de France

In 2007 Luke rode the entire 3500km route of the Tour de France, completeing each stage 1 day ahead of the proffesionals. This epic journey was undertaken with his mother who drove a support van in which they both slept each night and from where she cooked enough food to supply the required 8000+ calories per day. This journey was extensivly covered by the national press including sky news, BBC radio 4 & 5, The Guardian, Readers Digest and numerous local newspapers.

Climbing in Fontainebleau

Luke spent 5 months of 2009 Bouldering (rock climbing on large blocks of rock up to about 6m high, without ropes) in Fontainebleau, Northern France. This is a beautiful part of the world with 1000’s of sandstone boulders scattered througout a large forest. Camping for the whole trip sometimes in a tent and for 6 weeks in a large cave. He travelled to France and around the forest by bike, towing his gear behind him on a custom built trailer.

A passion for cycling

Luke’s passion for cycling everywhere he goes might border on the insane! From a 1800km round trip ride to see friends for the weekend in Germany to a 300km ride to Taunton in gale force winds to be interviewed by Readers Digest Magazine. 2008 saw Luke work as a cycle courier in the City of London honing his survival and bike handeling skills to avoid the crush of rush hour traffic.
