About Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate

LArginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (AAKG) is a popular ingredient in many cell volumiers. The Alpha-Ketoglutarate compound helps improve the delivery of L-Arginine and is one of the most important nitrogen (NO2) transporters in metabolic pathways.

LArginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate Key Benefits

AAKG contains both Arginine and Alpha-Ketoglutarate. Arginine is a conditionally essential amino acid that has a number of vital roles in human biochemistry and has an important role in protein synthesis.

Alpha-Ketoglutarate is another important biological compound, used by the body to help with the creation of usable energy from carbohydrates, fats and protein. It combines with ammonia to create glutamic acid, a precursor of glutamine.

Additional information

Nitric Oxide (NO2) is a very powerful vasodilator that increases the intensity and duration of the “pump” which is gained when working out (usually after heavy weights). Most AAKG users experience a visible increase in vascularity and pump. Our AAKG is produced at a ratio of 2:1 (Arginine:Alpha-Ketoglutarate).

About Arginine Ethyl Ester

Arginine Ethyl Ester HCl (AEE) is the latest form of arginine, with the addition of an ester. Esters are organic compounds that are formed by the chemical reaction of carboxylic acid and alcohols.

It is an arginine derivative, so the ergogenic effects will be similar to those of regular L-arginine, but the presence of an ester will make the ergogenic effects of AEE much more powerful. This is similar to the difference between Creatine Monohydrate and Creatine Ethyl-Ester (CEE).

Arginine Ethyl Ester Key Benefits

Regular L-arginine is mostly degraded in the intestine, leaving only trace amounts of the ingested dose active. Due to the addition of the ester AEE can pass through the intestine largely intact. This not only enhances the function of L-arginine and overcomes its inherent limitations, but also reduces the need for large doses, which may put less stress on the body.

Additional information

The presence of an ester may also prolong the generation of nitric oxide and extend the benefits of L-arginine over a greater time period. This may result in greater endurance, enhanced “pumps”, and quicker recovery from exercise.
