Ocean Rowing is one of toughest of all ultra endurance sports. There being little feeling of progress or changing landscape. With that in mind Sarah’s achievement is remarkable.

I love her spirit and enthusiasm. Watching her on video, you feel every emotion of the journey with her. The hardship and pain, the joy and exhilaration.

The video also captures the fear and loneliness that I imagine are never far below the surface on such a voyage. Sarah was only 23 when she set out and i think it makes her achievements all the more special. I find it hard to imagine at 23 having the strength, tenacity, bravery, grit and passion that she demonstrated day after day to complete her row.
